The ear saver relieves ear pain while wearing a mask. I print these for the hospital staff to help them help us!
This design is based on Aaron Lu's design of the ear saver. I measured it to be as exact as possible at the beginning, but then I made some changes:
I made it one layer thinner. This decreases filament usage (also decreasing the cost), and it allows it to bend more comfortably around the person's head. It applies less restrictive force, making it more comfortable. WARNING: be careful removing them from the printer bed after printing. They may rip at the end. I speak from experience. ;)
I also added the big trapezoid hole in the center to decrease filament usage as well. Then I went a step further and added more slits on the sides to reduce filament usage even farther. I kept the inner lines in the trapezoid for increased durability, so I would not advise removing them. They become bendy in the wrong places.
