The “EAS lightFix 2016” It’s a very lightweight system and needs very less space to transport, because it’s flexible by basing it on a 4mm steel-rope (DIN3060). It has enough strength (max. 9000N = ~2000lbf) in every direction and is also very lightwight (0,06kg/m = ~ 0,003lbs/in). Assembling: It is very easy to assemble; 1. first the holder on both sides on the rope should be assembled on earth. - It is a threated rod (with a small drilling) fixed on a short standard negative side of the profile (named here seat rack). - Afterward pull a standard washer over it. - Then the assembled holder itself and fix it all by a standard nut. - The fixer is assembled out of a bigger shuck with a drilling in the middle with a threat and another shuck with a threat on the outside fixed on it. - On that threat rod than a standard nut is welded. - The end of the rope should be pulled through after assembling as described above. - Fix it by clamping a small metal square on it or similar (the collet is to see in the model as a small cylinder). - Assemble two times. (blue elements+ropes). 2. The second assembly that should be assembled on earth is the fixer for the mounting plate on the rope (red). - It is a treat rod welded on a clamp with a drilling to tense it by a screw and a nut (“1/72). - Note: The clamp can maybe also out of plastic material. 3. The rope with the already on earth assembled holders on both side can now easily pulled into the seat-racks and fixed by turning the bigger nut of the holder (“3/8) and taut the rope by turning the smaller nut (“18/22). (Do it two times.) 4. After that fix the “fixers” assembled in 2. on the mounting plate by countering them with nuts on both sides of the plate. Make sure to get it as near as possible to the rope to decrease the torque on the rope and the force on the holders. 5. Fix the “fixers” on the rope at the right position (can be already marked with a pen on earth) by putting the nuts in the prepared position and turn the screw.
