EASEL (PIC-STAND)

This picture stand was designed to offer a more stable yet economical alternative to the traditional easel (frame/plate holder) that is easy to print, easy to assemble, while providing improved balance and strength in a similarly flat and storable profile. As a result, this design requires no hardware or glue to assemble and utilizes only 3 commonly available pen springs that can be salvaged from almost all mechanically operated pens and printable with little to no supports. The underlying geometry was also designed to easily withstand extreme weights and items 3 or more times its own height (2' tall or more). Perfect for standing picture frames, books, laptops, iPads, cutting boards, mirrors, dinnerware, and even smaller items like cellphones.
