I was looking for something to hold my Echo Dot with Freemo Evo battery base outside at the patio table and down at the pool. In both cases I wanted the ability to mount the echo on the umbrella pole. Unfortunately the patio umbrella has a different diameter pole from our offset umbrella at the pool, so I had to make 2 different versions. Thank you to mdietz for the customizable clamp. I also included the bare cradle stl and step files because it can be used as a starting point for other mounting options. When I initially attempted to open the larger clamp, the hinge broke, so in this design I have beefed it up far more than is necessary, but it does the job. I haven't done it on the smaller one yet as that one opened up without breaking, but perhaps will come back and add that one. As for the hardware, I had a couple of pins laying around and enough screws and washers to close the clamp. I will update this post when I have measured them.
