An egg shaped loudspeaker enclosure, designed this with Tinkercad.
The first incarnation fits a pretty much run of the mill 4" (11.5cm) full range driver. I am using a speaker I had laying around collecting dust. It's designed for a full range driver so its easy to wire up and you don't need any filters etc.
Printed in an upright position (no supports needed) with 0.2mm resolution at 5cm/sec which took a good 15 or so hours to do. Its nearly 16cm tall so make sure your printer can handle this. If the speaker is too tall you could try to print it face down but you will need supports because of the inset ring for the speaker
I chose to use wood filament as I have been wanting to use it for something like this. After experimenting with finishes on the first print I decided to not do any sanding - the lines made by the printer give a pretty good wood-like look. I have experimented with a couple of stains too and ended up choosing "Old Baltic" by Feast Watson followed by a coat of
