Einscan SE tower

Sometimes the view is better from higher up. This frame pivots the scanner up around 30 degrees, so it's looking more downward.

I wanted it easily removable. The frame is temporarily attached with a spring clamp in back. For safety's sake the scanner itself has a belt of velcro securing it to the top of the tower. Some trimming or welding may be required. My ABS prints needed minor touchups here and there so they fit together.

Whenever the scanner head is repositioned, turntable re-calibration is highly recommended...

I got some excellent scans using this thing. I also built a much taller one, shooting almost straight down, but it has a jury-rigged wooden frame and is not ready for prime time. The ideal thing would be for the factory frame to pivot upward, while keeping the focus steady and properly in line.. Not easy to do.
