Scheduled for destruction many moons ago, the Absolver was unintentionally freed from its captivity during an insurrectionist attack on its containment facility. It has since reached the outlying area of Grimhelm, preying on unfortunate travellers in the night. An early experiment of Project Glass Ceiling, the Absolver, designated EX01D was the experiment’s earliest attempt to graft an enhanced symbiote into the body of a selected humanoid host, with hopes that the human body would absorb the symbiote and in turn undergo a rapid metamorphosis to the superhuman standards they had hoped for.
