This is the final section of the Port Wing. The flaps are similar to Fowler Flaps.
They are controlled by an Arduino. When the Arduino gets a Flaps position signal from the RC receiver channel, the servo drives a screw thread that drives the flaps out. The servo has been modified to be continuous 360 degree drive in both directions. As the the flap is extended, the "turnbuckles" adjust the angle of the flap from horizontal to drooping at about 45 degrees when fully extended. There is feedback to the controller of flap position via a linear pot.
