PROOF-OF-CONCEPT: 3D-printed PLA motor mounts
I challenged myself by building a DIY electric longboard and doing as much by myself as possible.
Therefore I constructed the motor mounts, the case and the wheel covers (outside and inside) and printed them with an infill of 100% on my modified Anet A8.
So far all the parts work just fine and I didn't have to replace any of them after half a year of using. I have paid special attention on the reliability of the parts since my electric longboard has 4,4 kW of peak power and goes up to 40 km/h. So it wouldn't be funny if something breaks at this speed ;)
Unfortunately it doesn't make sense to show you how I built my electric longboard and how I used these parts, because there are so many parameters that you can change (battery, BMS, VESC, charging port, display, power button, wheels, motors, gears, belts, which trucks and board you use, ...). That's why you should see these parts more as a proof-of-concept, to proof that it's actu
