I was faced with a loose switch plate when I moved in to this house. It was wobbly, a piece of wood kind of holding it in the small opening. Not a good thing when reaching for it in the dark! No refit boxes from the hardware store would fit the 50mm wide opening and I really didn't see the need to enlarge the hole.
