Spacer to help align the front of an electrical box to what will be the finished surface of drywall. I made this to help remove some of the frustration of having boxes not quite flush with the wall surface once drywall has been hung. The part will hook around the stud and allow you to get a solid grip on the box. The electrical boxes have little notches for this purpose already, but the problem is that 2x4 lumber has rounded corners and it is hard to keep from moving when hammering in the nails. This was modeled after a Centex box as sold at Home Depot but should be consistent with all US plastic boxes.
