Total parts costs (depending on what you already have at home) will be somewhat between 10 and 25€, assuming you have the coolers. Currently they cost around 15€ on ebay. Practical usecases: Learning and understanding dehumidifiers Dehumidifying small volumes of air (up to a couple of m³ without much air exchange) with high humidity levels Parts required ESP board with 5V power input and 3V3 output. I used a D1 Mini ESP8266, others can be used with small adjustments, but dont use bigger ones, they wont fit in the case MOSFET (baord). I used one of these IRF520 based red aliexpress ones, but had to replace the MOSTFET with an IRLZ34N as it didn't fully turn on at 3.3V. Peltier element 20mm x 20mm. I use a TEC1-04901. This one should work with most USB power supplies. More powerfull ones will likely make the dehumidifier way more fun, but power supply will become more difficult small heatsink for cold side. I used one of an old mainboard Old Intel boxed cooler with Sandy-Bridge (LGA115x)
