New cap to replace screw-on lid of glass jar for use as an electrolysis cell. I printed it with TPU and got pretty lucky on the first try. I only had to add a few layers of tape to seal off the threads. There are four slots for electrodes, two of which must be cut open with a razor if extra slots are needed. There is one 3/8" hole to fit tubing for venting and neutralizing evolved gases. The diameter of the cap is ~121mm. I imagine it could be scaled to fit other jars, though the slots would need to be isolated first. Version 2: Added port for thermocouple inside 6mm tube (I use flint glass; easy to bend and seal). Increased distance between electrodes from ~25mm to ~30mm. Version 3: Split the cap into two parts. The outer shell is still printed with TPU and the inner plate is PETG. The latter holds up far longer against the chlorine onslaught during cell operation and protects the former from turning into super sticky goo in a week. I ran a month-long perchlorate cycle with very little degradation.
