I spent my life working with electronics, and there's one thing I'm certain of:
Most electrical components do not like heat... not at all.
And although heatsinks help to mitigate temperature issues,
there's just nothing like having cool air constantly flowing over potentially hot parts (including heatsinks).
For this reason, I removed the bottom metal pan from beneath my Centauri Carbon
and created a base that would force cool air across the 3 electrical circuits beneath it,
and freely allow the heated air to escape out the sides of the base.
The original prototype was built mostly from 2x4 studs (pine wood).
After posting the drawings for this base on Elegoo's Facebook Centauri Carbon group page,
I had some requests to create a 3d model of my base, so that it could be 3d printed.
Therefore, last night I quickly modeled it within the Elegoo slicer
(I have a TinkerCAD account, but I haven’t had the time to learn it, yet).
Assembly instructions are provided below in a .txt file.
I hope
