Before starting, be aware,

• The UV-proof cover is very light compared to the hose that will be attached to the top. Therefore the cover will detach from the printer and topple over in most situations, due to the additional weight of the hose. The trick is to get the hose directly above, and hanging down onto the printer – this may make this design unsuitable for everyone’s setup.
• It is easy to underestimate the length of hose required for your situation, especially given the previous point. My printer was 1m away from the window so to play it safe I ordered a 2m length of hose. This wasn’t nearly enough and it was frustrating to have to order more. It is cheaper and quicker to over order and then throw away half the hose.
• Although the function of the UV shield can fully be restored with some black tape if it all doesn’t work out, this is a permanent, and possibly warranty busting change to your printer, so rea
