This is a micro vat designed for use with the Elegoo Mars 2 Pro. It will potentially fit other Mars printers as well.
The purpose is to allow the testing of experimental resins in small quantities for research. Whether these resins are lab-created, or simply mixture testing to find the perfect ratio before full-scale use. Helps reduce waste and keep operating costs low when creating new resins.
It was machined from aluminium and anodised. The parts fit together in the same way as the regular vat, and the build plate attachment screws into the ball located in the socket of the original Z-axis attachment.
As can be seen in the attached image, you may need to do some adjustment of the build area offsets in your slicer of choice to get the centre in the correct location.
