Embroidery Frame Stand

I recently took up Tambour Embroidery which apparently requires two free hands to do properly. I looked up online for an embroidery hoop stand which can go for up to $40. I told myself I could make one for $5 worth of PVC and 3D printing.

This can be used for either embroidery or cross stitch projects.

You can make it with a 3/4 inch x 5 ft PVC pipe which they sell at home depot for about $3. I had it cut into three 1 ft pipes and four 2 inch pipes. The remaining length of pipe is used as the center pipe that holds the clamp. The only other part you need is a 1/4 in x 1 in hex bolt and respective nut.
The bottom part of the stand may seem long but this depends on what size of hoop you are using as you don't want it to unintentionally tip over if you use a large embroidery hoop.

If you want the adjustable height like how I have it in the picture, you need a additional 1/2 in PVC pipe that should slide in the inside of the 3/4 pipe and should be a little longer than the center
