This is an enclosure to house a small ESP32 or ESP8266 module and a sensor module to monitor some aspect of the environment, allowing free flow of air through the case. My application was for a temperature and humidity monitor for a greenhouse. Full details of the project are at https://cicciocb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=231
The enclosure includes a removable mount to which a small battery (I used a 900mAh li-ion from a mobile phone) can be attached. Sending a data bundle every 10 minutes and sleeping in between, battery life between recharges is around 3 months.
