This is an enclosure created for the Startech IDE2SATA converter (https://www.startech.com/en-gb/hdd/ide2sat2) and a 2.5" (7mm height) SSD.
I could only find https://www.ogxbox.com/forums/index.php?/topic/5322-3d-printed-startech-ide-adapter-case/ as an existing solution which didn't quite fit my use case so I designed this.
The enclosure is designed to replace a traditional 3.5" HDD with screw mounting from the bottom, allowing an easily swappable 2.5" SATA HDD for use in legacy technology requring an IDE interface.
This is licensed under GPLv2 and I have included both STL and FreeCAD files.
This was designed in FreeCAD and printed on my K1 Max at full speed with 15% infill layer height 0.1mm using manual supports wherever possible.
I used Sunlu Black PLA+ to print this design, and the tolerances were all designed with ~0.2mm gap all round.
