This is a compact filter for 3D printers. The arm is for Ender-2 and it fits inside a small cabinet.
It uses easily available Hepa vacuum cleaner filter + Activated carbon filter cut out from cooker hood filter. I don’t know if this is good enough for ABS but it is better than nothing.
I connected my filter in parallel with heat sink cooler fan so it only runs when it has to.
You loose 30mm print height.
Fusion 360 files included.
Notes on fans (from my experiences):
Axial fan has high flow but low pressure and even worse when sucking.
Radial fans have low flow but high pressure / sucking performance.
We don’t want draft in the cabinet so a low power radial fan is best.
I also used the fan to blow hot air from the top of the cabinet down beside the print table.
I designed this for a 5015 fan (12v ~3750rpm no load) but a 4020 is power full enough.
Filter type: HEPA-fillter (FC8031/Electrolux)
I think my filter is a Hepa 13 (99.97%) because it has higher restric
