This was designed for the Ender 3 Pro and inspired by similar models out there, but as an engineer, I couldn't just reuse someone else's and had to make my own.
The purpose of these are to keep cables out of the way of the build plate and to provide strain relief for the wiring. The chain links themselves are all the same piece, just 2 different sizes, and snap together in a pattern (1 up, 1 down, repeated) so that they can be installed or removed without any disassembly of the printer itself, with the exception of temporarily removing the bed to replace the wiring support with a new one.
- The base that supports the start of both chains slides onto the aluminum extrusion after you feed the XZ wires through it.
- The XE chain is designed so that it fits both the wiring for the X-axis/hot end, Extruder, and a standard raspberry pi camera ribbon cable.
- The XE chain end snaps around the bottom of the Extruder motor, and has provisions to route the hot end wires towards the mach
