Having upgraded my Ender 3V2 to diy direct drive, I need something to restrain the hotend cable without installing an elaborate x-rail cable chain. So I come up with a sliding bearing ring, mounted on the underside of the top rail, through which the cable can move freely without hinderance or affecting other items on the printer.
Two small cheap 626z bearings are used to minimize friction between the guide and the cable. No need to use nuts for the mounting M6 screws. Just run an M6 tap through the holes and screw in.
The guide slides onto and hangs from the underside of the 2020 top rail. 50mm from the left seem to be a good position.
Material PLA
195°/55°
Bed adhesion with 4mm brim
Support yes
Infill immaterial
0.4mm nozzle
0.2mm layers
Full cooling
