Designed a filament guide with bearings for really smooth glide action
Designed around the old fidget spinner bearings as youll find them in all the cheap bargain shops these days for almost nothing
There are 2 versions of this guide , wide and normal
The wide guide is designed so the bearing actually tracks and follows the wind of how the filament is rolled onto the reel . You MUST print the bearing pin long ways not upways so that the layers run sideways for the bearing to slide left and right over it
You will need to use supports in your print for the main assembly . The bearing pin and bearing cover dont need supports ( please note you will need to print 2 bearing guides then glue or plastic wels them together , ive done this so that you dont need to use supports to print this )
I have put a hole in the front to put a screw in there to screw into the gantry hole but it actually fits in there so firmly that you dont really need the screw so can just clip it in if
