Ender 3 LED BOX

A led box contains the DC/DC converter to power the COB led.

I used a LED 5W/12Vdc http://bit.ly/2ROKqGn. It is fixed to a vertical heatsink found in my junk box.


The DC/DC converter is housed into the box designed to fit on the Ender-3 rail.

I used a LM2596 DC-DC converter http://bit.ly/2RQlLBs. I adjusted its trimmer to output about 10V to dimmer the light.

The 24V input is wired in parallel to the 24V connection of the main board. The wires run in top the rail.

A KCD11 switch http://bit.ly/2E1q4WH is mounted is series to the 24 Volt positive.

To mount the box I was required to unscrew the Ender-3 control board housing and to slide the box into the rails. The design of the hinges is not enough flexible to clip it from top.
