This is a 3-part case designed to mount a Raspberry Pi 3B+ to a Creality Ender 3 using M3 machine screws and t-nuts.
Mounting points in the center part allow for the installation of a small 5V fan for cooling the pi during use. This fan may be plugged directly into the 5V and GND GPIO pins of the pi.
An opening in the lid of the case allows for a ribbon cable to connect a camera to the pi, while still allowing the lid to be taken off quickly if needed.
The Pi is inserted in the Bottom part of the case.
Then, the Center part is placed over the pi and bottom parts. Small indentations in the case allow the two parts to stay together, as a compliant mechanism.
After installing the optional fan and ribbon cable, the Lid part may be attached.
Asymmetry in the design ensures the correct orientation of all parts.
Originally modeled in AutoCAD, .dwg/.stp available upon request.
