The Ender 3 Pro has a small issue with filament supply. The constant pull of filament through the brass fitting in the feed mechanism tends to wear down the brass into a sharp edge, causing overworking of the motors and, eventually, print failure.
This little doohickey attaches to the machine using the factory screws on the z-axis support, and it routes the filament through two eyelets, ensuring that the filament enters the brass fitting perfectly straight. This solves the issue of metal-on-plastic wear by changing the interface to plastic-on-plastic, and it is easily replaceable.
I'm not the only one to design a part like this-- there were several here on Thingiverse that I tried out before making my own. The others all had small problems ranging from over-complication to poor alignment of the eyelets. I own the pro version of the ender 3, but it seems like there were some small changes between versions and production dates. I thought I would add my design not because it's n
