This is designed to hold 7 leds in series. If you use a single 100 ohm resistor it will run off 24v from the power supply without having to step down the voltage.
I designed it to use led holders like the ones found [here](https://www.amazon.com/Aoyoho-Plastic-Holder-Mounting-Holders/dp/B01GMZTL1K/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1549509295&sr=8-6&keywords=led+holder+5mm) and basic 5mm leds of your choice. The wire I used was 22 awg. One of these will draw approximately 20mA, so you should be able to run a few in parallel without much of a strain on the power supply.
I am NOT an electrical engineer and can not guarantee that this will not do damage to your printer. Please do your own research before performing any modifications.
