Raspberry Pi 3 Case made to fit the Ender 3 combining all the features I was looking for.
GPIO access
Fan mounting holes
large openings for larger overmolded connectors
Pi Can be slid out of the case without unbolting from the frame, just remove cables and slide the assembly out of the main enclosure
Mounts to any frame rail extrusion with t-nuts
There are two versions of the mounting tray.
1. The 4-40 holes version just has holes to thread plain 4-40 screws into
2. The heat inserts version is designed to have these inserts melted in. https://www.mcmaster.com/93365A120-93365A120
Pick your version of the tray, then attach the Pi. Snap the front over over the connectors. This is an interference fit, but it should snap in. Then slide the assembly into the enclosure. The front panel should lightly snap into place and keep the Pi from sliding out.
