I just got an Ender 3 V2 and so far it's far exceeded my expectations of a sub-$300 printer. The one thing I couldn't understand though was why the filament passes so close to the Z axis screw thread. It wouldn't have taken much to move the extruder out a little to create some clearance.
Until I can work on that solution, I decided to print a simple guard as one of my first prints. This mounts using the screw holes for the Z axis nut and wraps around the thread enough to make a smooth surface for the filament to run against. There probably weren't any bad consequences of the filament rubbing the thread, but it just didn't seem right.
