This isn't a remix. I really like the X mount but had a little trouble keeping the nuts in place when assembling. I made a little plug.
Insert the stop nut. Once it is in position, insert the plug open end first and divot facing the outside. Friction should hold it in place until assembled. This will hold the nut in place. Since the screw extends slightly past the nut, it will hold in the plug securely once the mount is attached to the carriage. The small divot is there so you can use a screwdriver to remove it if needed. Extending past the mount doesn't interfere with anything.
Note that since the nut pockets are of different depths, the plug inserts a little deeper on one side of the mount.
