ENGINE PISTON

The engine piston is the basic element that moves in the cylinder of an internal combustion engine, compressing the fuel-air mixture and transmitting the movement to the crankshaft with the thrust force of the gases formed as a result of combustion. It is usually made of aluminum alloys and fits tightly into the cylinder with the help of rings. The up-and-down movement of the piston provides power, intake, compression and exhaust strokes in the operation of the engine.
