Pencil Holder in the Shape of an Erlenmeyer Flask I have an unusual fondness for certain technical items. These include bearings, pencils, and laboratory glassware, though the list goes much further… When I was recently designing an alcohol dispenser , the idea struck me: why not make a pencil holder in the same shape, just by enlarging the neck? And that’s how these Erlenmeyer flasks and the pencil holder came to be. Of course, they aren’t exact replicas with perfectly calibrated proportions, but they look quite similar. I printed one as a test, and I was pleased with the result. Maybe you’ll like it too. At the very least, it’s practical. If you plan on using the flasks for liquids, I’ve already covered sealing in detail in my alcohol dispenser post . For this project, I printed them in PETG and used dichloromethane for sealing. Printing these is simple, except for the bottom radius of the flask (or cup, if you chose that variant). For those areas, you should use dense support. I’m confident you’ll figure it out, and you probably know best how to handle it. If you’re interested, you can download my 3MF file and see how I set everything up. Good luck!
