Brought a cheap ESP32-CAM board and started to play and then it became apparent that if I placed an additional lens in front of the camera it would make a great macro unit.
All well and good and not so easy to hold stable so I set about making a stand.
It consists of the following parts:
Five 3D printed parts, Top/Bottom mount, Camera mount, turn knob and clip to hold PCB.
Plywood 80mm x 250mm
Base Chip board 80mm x 160mm
Two rods 5mm Dia x 250mm
1 Threaded spindal and Nut
1 ESP32-CAM
Neo Pixel Ring 16LED
Old usb cable
5V Powerbank
The assembly is pretty much self explanitary from the photos
I modified the Code from the demo camera code and added in the LED function
When is running the only wires connected are 5V,Gnd and IO 13 for the neopixels.
Added a couple of extra prints
Lens shield: which help to centralise lens and fix it rigid
Cover: To hold the pcb in place and provision for a switch
Base: Slimmer design with a 16mm
