ESPHome Gas Meter Reader Case

This is part of an ESPHome project to read a gas meter with Home Assistant. With this you can see your gas usage in real time and track history, build automations, data visualizations etc. It works by reading the small magnetic field variations created by the rotating drive inside your gas meter. These changes correspond to the meter’s mechanical movement. See: the ESPHome Gas and Water Meter project page for more details. This is a weather resistant case to house the electrical components I recommend to use. It is designed so it can be mounted to a Sensus R-275 gas meter, which my utility (PG&E in California) uses. This case is likely to fit other gas meters. There are 5 components:a base. This is designed to mount to the gas meter. You can leave this mounted and remove the insert to service the components easily.an insert. The insert secures the electrical components and is removable.a lid.
