“The pilot, while somewhat full of bravado, would nonetheless make a good addition to your printed desktop fleet; his Lightning fighter is a top-notch defensive ship.”
This is a recreation of the Lightning from the 1996 Macintosh shareware game, "Escape Velocity." With no adjustments, this will print at 1:250 scale.
Print with support material. You may be able to get away without it, but at least a thin first laer brim would be useful, as there’s little contact area with the build surface. Use a 0.12mm layer height or thinner. You can go thicker, but jagged edges on the trailing edges of the wings will become more pronounced. After printing, sand or cut before applying primer and paint.
I'm especially interested in seeing how this looks on a resin printer. I don't own one, so uploading your make would be especially appreciated!
