Executive Mobile Stand

All new disruptive technologies, methods or materials first enter the market by substituting themselves for various common but essential materials, methods and products. For instance, carving was substituted by casting and now will be replaced by 3-D printing while wood and metals were replaced by plastics which will now be replaced by 3-D printed materials. This mainly happens to prove the process’s capabilities and announce its arrival into a large market. As a result, it will connect to a larger audience and people will be comfortable with the technology when it is used in other areas around them. This is why I have designed this purposeful Executive mobile stand. The product is mainly intended for workplace where the decision-makers and designers are constantly reminded by using and looking at the stand that the world is continuing to innovate and adapt to newer technology thereby encouraging them to think innovatively. The design for the product is practical, ergonomic and elegant. It is designed so keeping the target audience in mind and fulfils all technical requirements. It has provision to store business cards, a smartphone, two fountain pens and a few keys. It matches with the rest of the ambience in an office. Material used to print the product is Polyamide priority SLS. Colour chosen was dyed black. Name of my university: Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, India
