I purchased a set of 4 cheap pickleball paddles off Amazon. Each paddle was less than $10 each. I wanted more performance out of the paddle, but didn't feel like purchasing a high end on since I'm a casual player. I took apart the paddle, 3d printed a new handle which much more comfortable bevels, and also extended the paddle to the maximum allowable weight. Overall, I'm very happy with the performance of the paddle for a budget one and can easily keep up with intermediate players. It cost about $2 in 3d printed materials and the design took about 20 mins to model. The hardest part of the project was actually just removing the old grip and handle off of the paddle. Otherwise it was a very straightforward project.
