Extension Cord Securing Clip Cable Lock

This is a thingamaging (if you now how you'd call something like this, PLEASE let me know!) that secures a cable connection. I use it to connect a DC power supply with 5.3mm barrel jack connector to the battery adapter of my camera, which has a 5.3mm barrel jack socket. The connection between the two has no mechanical interlock between the two and only friction keeps the plug from sliding out. This clip/lock/whatever keeps plug and socket connected.

The drawback is of course that there is no more predetermined breaking point and stumbling over the cable will likely result in the camera and tripod tripping over.

In anycase you might find this useful. The model can be adjusted via parameters in the f3d file to allow for other cable diameters and overall dimensions.
