The spring on the Ender 3 and other creality printers is sometimes not strong enough and you get slipping and under-extrusion or imperfection patterns in your prints. I tried a solution at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3060134 and its a great idea but the part did not fit the modern springs for Creality or Aluminum Extruders. I designed a new part in tinkercad from scratch that is stronger and fit the spring just fine. I still give credit to the above creator for the idea. I have direct drive and know it slips when winding in the filament on filament change. This is much easier than trying to find a slightly stronger spring with exact dimensions. There are two sizes: 3mm and 2mm and you could offcourse use one on top and bottom to get 4, 5, or 6mm but I think the single 3mm is what most people will need. These are so small and quick to print I recommend printing a couple in case you decide to add 2 or want to try both sizes.
