For elderly people or those with diminished muscle power (and for little children) this tool can be a great help to open and close this type of tap grip (in The Netherlands: the brand Venlo).
But beware: it is NOT a replacement of a badly maintained tap! In most cases it is advised to replace the rubber disk inside the tap, so you do not have to use force to close the tap.
