Faucet Washer Size 00

Size 00 flat washers are used in many, if not most, kitchen/bathroom multi-turn shut off valves and some faucet control valves in the U.S. Typically they are made of rubber. Rubber is a good material for a drip proof closure, but many types of rubber are affected by the chlorine in municipal water supplies, and they deteriorate over time. When you need them most, you may find out that they don't work.

A 3D printed washer made with ABS or HTPLA or other material may not provide a seal that is as good or easy, but since these valves are seldom closed, the quality of the shutoff is secondary, compared to life. Regular PLA can be used for cold water, but for use in hot water applications, it may soften and become unusable when you really need it. ABS is not a food-safe material. Consider this in using this material.
