Attention: this model involves AC household electricity! Proceed only if you know what you are doing and at your own risk! Any liability is excluded!
This is a remix of LAMcDonald's beautiful fern design.
I had four issues with it:
- my PLA was too bendy and sagged more than I liked
- my intended light bulb was so big, that the proportions did not work
- I wanted a high even number of leaves ;-)
- my intended light bulb was an E27 bulb and the socket for that meant I could not use the original center piece anyway
Hence, I designed a new "lamp base" with 10 holes.
It should be completely compatible with the fern from LAMcDonald. It is on my printer.
To be sure, you can first try with the „TestRing.stl“
I used an E27 socket from a hardware store which can be press fit into the downward facing pipe.
The „TestRing.stl“ has the same inner diameter as the pipe, so you can test whether your socket will work.
