Ferry Boat

This ferry boat is based on a toy that my grandfather gave to me when I was 2 or 3 years old. It is reminiscent of ferry boats operating on Puget Sound in Washington State in the 1940's & 50's.

I've had this thing forever and thought, why not try to print one! The (relatively) simple shapes of a handmade wood toy make it easy to translate into a printable model.

My grandfather loved to design and build intricately detailed model trains and airplanes, but he also made a number of other toys for his grandchildren. This boat came with a dock, which I will try to print at some point, and I may recreate some of the other things he built as well.
