Fiber Optic Splice Box (6x LC Duplex)

I designed this splice box in my free time to help the company I work for to acess fiber optic cables in our building. I designed this custom box, because it had to be placed in a fuse box. Of course you can use it anywhere else.

It is a two part design:

1: splice box
2: lid

The box is designed for six LC duplex connectors. I bought cheap couplings online. Please make sure to get couplings with a spring to keep the connectors in place. You could also use screws, but the connectors fit snug, so I did not use screws.

The splice holder is designed for 12 fiber connections. During our istallation we used 1.2mm x 60mm fiber optic splice protectors. They fit nicely. Just push them in and they stay in place. Link: https://www.fs.com/products/13662.html?now_cid=2906

We used zip ties to keep the incoming cable in place.

When the box is prepared you can use M3 screws, washers and nuts to close the lid.

My print settings:

- 40% infill (Gyroid)
- 4 top/bottom layers
- 3 walls
- 0.2mm layer
