Simplicity and Reliability I created this model five years ago, and it has remained an indispensable accessory for me ever since. Over the years, I have come to appreciate how convenient and effective it is. In the world of 3D printing, there are countless solutions for securing filament, but my clip stands out for its versatility. Unique Features The primary purpose of filament clips is to prevent the filament from unwinding during storage. However, their functionality doesn’t end there. These clips can also be used for: Conveniently securing the filament’s end during transportation; Preventing tangles during work; Neatly holding plastic scraps so they don’t get in the way. I’ve tried many alternatives, each with its own drawbacks. However, my model has several key advantages: Ease of Use: If the spool is not installed in an automatic feeding system, the clip doesn’t need to be removed — the filament easily slides off its sharp tip and unwinds smoothly. Functionality: Its thoughtful design effectively holds the filament in place without hindering its unwinding. Versatility: Compatible with most spool designs available from manufacturers. For an Automatic Material System (AMS), the clip will need to be removed because the spool rotates by resting its edges on bearings. This makes using the clip impractical in this scenario. Why Try It? If you’re looking for a simple and reliable way to secure filament, this clip could become an indispensable tool for you. Its convenience and thoughtful design make it an excellent choice for any user. When creating this model, I aimed for simplicity and efficiency. I remember one evening when the filament on my spool unwound and tangled again, and I decided to create something simple yet reliable. Within half an hour, the clip was ready, and since then, it has saved me from countless similar problems. Sometimes, the simplest solution is the best one. Try it for yourself — it might become just as indispensable for you as it has been f
