This is my first design.
1kg filament spools won't fit in my printer, so I wanted a simple way to keep the end of the filament tidy, while feeding the filament directly from the box it came in.
Storing the boxes upright, and feeding the filament through the guide and the tubing that came with the printer allows the filament to be drawn as needed, while the weight of the spool itself keeps enough friction to stop the spool unravelling.
