Filament Guide

A filament guide arm.... there are many out there but I thought I'd give it a go. I usually design from home and print while at work so this was my first shot at making my own design from scratch. I pulled my inspiration from many fellow thingiverse designers so none of these ideas are truly my own just my take on some.

I'm pretty good at autocad drawing 2d but 3d modeling is a bit new for me any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.

For setup I printed my first version on .2 layer height and 20% infill and supports only touching build plate and it worked okay but I made some tweaks and hopefully this version will print better.

the hole is 7mm I will add a pin for those who do have one but a spare bolt and nut would work I happened to have a pre made pin I pulled out an old printer. I will try to add stp files for those who want to add a bearing. PIN ADDED worked great for me no need for glue. clicked together and is holing well enough but it is detachable.
