This is my German Engineer Solution for a Card Board Spool Adapter. All other solutians wasnt working as I needed, so that I started my own project. And yes its engineered as much as I was able for. Instead of using a traditional plastic ring, I developed a complete shaft and axle assembly that holds the spool and unwinds the filament with virtually no friction and great stability. My design is specially intended for the Anycubic AMS. Here, the assembly can be inserted and the spool positioned. Be sure to rotate the spool completely in the bearing once before printing to test whether it really runs friction-free. Sometimes it’s necessary to make adjustments. You’ll need two ball bearings (6004 ZZ 20mm x 42mm x 132mm) for the axle. The special thing here is that with this design, you can now insert cardboard rolls into all four slots of the Anycubic AMS—provided you also have four adapters. If you don’t have an Anycubic AMS, you can build your own holder with a 15mm shaft mount. I’ve built something like that myself. If you need the print files for it, I can provide them.
