Just a little tube designed to apply ink to filament as it prints. You will probably need a 2mm/2.5mm drill bit to get filament to run smoothly through it, as the holes come out a little small on my printer at least. I also need to up my temps to 220/230 for pla or I get really bad layer adhesion.
It has 2 compartments for dye soaked fabric/cotton so you can apply a different colour to each side of the filament for a graduated look to your prints. Some colours work better than others, reds, oranges and yellows will fade a LOT and I don't recommend using them, black prints a beautiful dark bluey/purple, blue prints very well, green comes out a little pale, pink/purple pens i've found sometimes come out blue, sometimes they retain some pink. Have a play and tell me what you find!
Currently I'm using sharpie marker, just cutting off a bit of the ink cartridge, using pliers to pull the fluff out and poke it into the holder. The best filament I've found by a large margin is sunlu whit
