Turned a $30 shoe rack from Amazon into a filament rack and designed a few custom mods to make it spool-friendly: Rack Height Extension – raises the shelves so spools have enough clearance (can also be trimmed in your slicer to make custom leveling feet). Rack Shelf Divider – keeps rolls from sliding out the sides. Rack Joiner – lets you connect two racks together for even more storage. Updated Jan 06/2026 - Rack Shelves - designed some rack shelves to put object on that would otherwise fall through (print 2 shelf half's to make 1 shelf). Updated Feb 22/2026 - Horizontal Rail - I've added some horizontal snap in side rails that print support free and are better then the vertical shelf divider at printing and install. Simple, cheap, and expandable — a mix of DIY and 3D printing that keeps my filament tidy and easy to grab. STL files are included if you want to build one too!
